Aivazyan Confirmed: Armenian Cultural Heritage is Being Destroyed in Occupied Territories
During a Q&A session between the National Assembly and the Government, Armenian Foreign Minister Ara Aivazyan reiterated that Armenian cultural heritage is being destroyed in occupied territories. Promoting Armenian culture on the international stage is a primary goal of the established Cultural Negotiation Commission.
“The historical and cultural heritage of Artsakh is an inseparable part of world culture. Its destruction, defilement or falsification must be strictly prevented. Our daily communications are aimed at addressing this issue through international efforts.
It is known that in the territories of Artsakh that are under Azerbaijani occupation, complete ethnic cleansing has taken place, and today the destruction of Armenian cultural heritage is being implemented, attempting to erase the millennia-old cultural heritage of Artsakh and its belonging,” said the minister.
