Simonyan: We Did the Right Thing, We Should Give Even More to the Police

The state bodies that perform or exceed their work should be encouraged and will be encouraged, there is no other option in the world, Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Alen Simonyan stated in response to discussions about bonuses in Parliament.

“Please stop this conversation again,” Simonyan said.

Referring to the discussions about awarding bonuses to police officers, he noted, “One of the representatives of 17 colleagues says that bonuses have been given to the police. Well, we did the right thing, we should give even more to the police! And there, where people are standing, aren’t you distributing money, alcohol, food?”

It should be noted that Anna Kostanyan, a member of the “Enlightened Armenia” faction, announced from the parliamentary podium that officials received bonuses even during the height of the war.
