Our Army Is Wounded Today; We Must Stand by Our Army Until It Heals - Sasun Mikayelyan
On March 22, the Union of Volunteers for the Defense of Armenia held another turnover of personnel for combat duty. The second battalion of the Yerkrapah Volunteer Union, consisting of 310 members, has departed for the border to replace the first battalion and carry out combat duty.
“Previously, we were in ‘Yeghnikner’ and completed our mission; now we are heading back to the front line. Our spirit is combat-ready, and we are prepared to serve our homeland. After this heavy war, we must unite, stand by our army, and give our boys strength through our presence so that we can straighten our broken backs,” said one of the volunteers.
Another volunteer added, “The enemy is treading upon the blood of our 18-year-old soldiers; we must ensure that this never happens again. We are obligated to fight until the end for our honor and dignity.”
The President of the Yerkrapah Volunteer Union and MP Sasun Mikayelyan addressed the departing personnel, stating, “I wish you a good service, dear boys. I respect your consciousness and understanding, and I bow to you. We are all obligated to serve our homeland. Our army is wounded today; we must stand by our army until it heals. We are obliged to strengthen our army. Glory to you, boys, for not losing your faith and remaining at the front line. Each fallen soldier's place has become a sanctuary, and we must reach those sanctuaries, never lose hope. Good service, safe journey!”
