New Transport Line Will Connect Azerbaijan with Nakhchivan, Says Bayramov
The construction of transportation infrastructure will have a positive impact on the economic development of the South Caucasus. Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov stated this, as reported by Minval.az.
"We are opening a new chapter in post-conflict reconstruction and peaceful coexistence. One of the key issues here is the implementation of agreements reached in accordance with the trilateral statement signed on November 10, 2020, between Armenia and Azerbaijan. This is the only path to lasting peace, security, stability, and development in the region," he said.
Touching upon the role of peacekeepers in Nagorno-Karabakh, Bayramov noted: "Russian peacekeepers are deployed in the post-conflict zone in accordance with the trilateral agreement signed on November 10, 2020, by the leaders of Armenia, Russia, and Azerbaijan."
The Azerbaijani Foreign Minister also pointed out that the new transport line will connect Azerbaijan with Nakhchivan, which will improve connectivity between the South Caucasus and neighboring countries.
