LHK and BHK Propose to Lift Martial Law Again

The Parliament is discussing the proposal put forward by the "Prosperous Armenia" and "Enlightened Armenia" factions regarding the adoption of a decision to lift martial law.

The main rapporteur on this matter, head of the "Enlightened Armenia" faction Edmon Marukyan, recalled that the opposition factions are presenting such a proposal for the third time.

"The realities in Armenia are different now. The reality of martial law restricts the rights of the opposition and limits democracy in the country, as there are communities where elections are not held. There is even a community without a council. Considering the agreements in place, the tension in the country is gradually easing, and we now propose to lift martial law and focus on solving our country's issues," Marukyan noted.
