Emergency Incident Occurs in Yerevan: Shots Fired at Opel Astra

Today, on March 23, an extraordinary incident occurred in Yerevan. At approximately 09:25, the operational management center of the Yerevan police received a call reporting that gunshots were heard on the Yegvard Highway.

According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, an operational group from the Mashtots Division of the police arrived promptly at the scene, led by the head of the division, Andranik Shahbazyan.

The police discovered an Opel Astra vehicle with gunfire damage on the front right and left windows, located under the bridge leading to Davidashen on Yegvard Highway. Fortunately, there were no reported injuries according to preliminary information. Investigations are currently underway to ascertain the cause of the gunfire.

The police are also working to identify the driver who was present at the scene and reported to authorities that he was driving the vehicle when shots were fired at it.
