Artsakh National Assembly Sends Delegation to Moscow

Recently, the Chairman of the Permanent Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Youth and Sports of the Artsakh Republic National Assembly, Aram Harutyunyan, was in the capital of the Russian Federation, Moscow, on a working visit.

During the visit, Aram Harutyunyan held meetings with Dmitry Sablin, a member of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, representative of "Rossetrudnichestvo" Evgeny Primakov, Deputy Prefect Maria Petrosyan of Moscow's Western Administrative District, Artsakh's Permanent Representative in Russia Albert Anhyan, several large Armenian businesspeople in Russia, representatives of the education sector, and popular Russian journalist Semyon Pegov.

With Dmitry Sablin, a member of the State Duma and First Deputy Chairman of the All-Russian organization "Combat Brotherhood," they discussed issues related to the return of prisoners of war, strengthening Armenian-Russian cultural ties in Artsakh, and collaboration in the field of education. The importance of preserving Armenian Christian and cultural heritage, which is under control of the enemy due to Azerbaijan's aggression, was emphasized.

Dmitry Sablin welcomed the draft law on language that was introduced in the National Assembly of the Artsakh Republic, highlighting it as a tangible step strengthening the age-old friendship between Armenians and Russians. During the meeting, preliminary agreements were reached on implementing joint projects.

During the meeting with Evgeny Primakov from "Rossetrudnichestvo," they discussed possible collaborations in the public sector, humanitarian assistance to Artsakh, and opportunities for Artsakh students to receive education and training in the best higher education institutions in Russia. Aram Harutyunyan outlined certain logistical issues within humanitarian aid programs, most of which have been addressed with specific solutions.

As part of the working visit, the parliamentarian also met with Deputy Prefect Maria Petrosyan of Moscow's Western Administrative District, reaching agreements on cooperation, and discussing matters related to creating a platform between public organizations operating in Moscow and Artsakh.
