150 Military Personnel Detained in Turkey

Turkey continues its crackdown on individuals associated with the Gülen movement. Law enforcement authorities have detained 150 people during operational actions suspected of links to the movement, according to Reuters.

The operations took place across 53 provinces in Turkey as part of efforts to punish individuals connected to the failed coup attempt in 2016. It is important to note that more than 250 people lost their lives during that coup attempt. Fethullah Gülen has denied any involvement in the events.

The Turkish prosecutor's office had ordered the detention of 184 people, including 123 active military personnel. Additionally, there are suspects in Northern Cyprus, where Turkish military personnel are stationed.
