We think every night that a crack of wood means a fight, we are always uneasy: a resident of the border village Paravakar
Only the residents know what price they pay to live and create in their own village, Paravakar. And how they illuminate each day is known only to them.
“We have always lived uneasily, even if it's just the crack of wood at night, we know it means a fight, we are always uneasy,” said Julieta Hovhannisyan, a resident of the village of Paravakar in Tavush Province, in an interview with Tert.am.
When talking about peace, Mrs. Julieta lowers her eyes. The thought of being so close to the enemy never leaves their minds for a second. They live with this awareness, under the enemy's targeting.
They have lived far from the understanding of peace for so long, but they have not lost hope. Now they don't even have hope for tomorrow.
“You have no hope that tomorrow might be better, there is no hope, I am older, we have endured so much suffering, but now there is no hope, it’s an orphaned state,” says Mrs. Julieta.
