VIDEO. The Project for Mars' First City Has Been Unveiled

A team of international scientists and designers has unveiled the project for the construction of the first city on Mars. According to life.ru, Alfredo Munoz, the founder of the Abibo architectural group, stated that construction could begin as early as 2054, with the first inhabitants expected to arrive by 2100. Munoz noted that they will face challenges unique to Mars.

Scientists believe the city should be built on rocky terrain and constructed exclusively from materials available on Mars. It is expected that oxygen will be generated by trees planted by the inhabitants, while energy will be provided through solar panels. The entire infrastructure will be hidden under a hermetically sealed dome.
