Man Found Dead in Yerevan Lake Murdered and Thrown into Hrazdan River: Details

New details have emerged today regarding the identity of the body discovered in Yerevan Lake and the circumstances of the death. According to Shamshyan.com, four individuals have already been arrested.

54-year-old Janik V. from Yerevan, 31-year-old Armen U. from Hrazdan, 35-year-old Samvel P. without a permanent residence, and 28-year-old Tatul M. from Aragatsotn province are suspected of murdering 38-year-old Edgar A., a resident of Kapan, who had been reported missing since March 7 of this year.

The website reports that on March 10, Satine B. approached the Shengavit police department and reported that her brother, Edgar A., had gone missing near the Gortsaranayin metro station in Yerevan on the evening of March 7. On the same day, police began search operations and on March 19, they detained the aforementioned suspects on suspicion of murdering Edgar A.

It is noted that one of them has provided a confession. According to this confession, a dispute occurred in the Hrazdan gorge adjacent to Saint Sarkis Church, during which Edgar A. was killed. His body was thrown into the river and was discovered today in Yerevan Lake.

Earlier, it was reported that a man's body was found in Yerevan Lake. According to the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Crisis Management National Center received the alarm at 12:28 PM.
