Hokhikyan: No One Has Made Any Demands on Me Amidst Reports of Receiving Demands from Sukiasyan
The media has published incomplete information; no one has made any demands on me. The meeting with Sukiasyan took place, as well as with a number of other individuals. Sukiasyan presented his views on internal political issues, and I presented mine.
This was stated by journalist Nayri Hokhikyan in an interview with Auroranews, addressing reports circulating in the press today suggesting that he met with businessman Khachatur Sukiasyan and received a demand to refrain from criticizing Nikol Pashinyan.
"A meeting took place concerning internal political and economic issues, and I expressed my objections and criticisms towards the government, and he presented his viewpoint," said Hokhikyan.
It is noteworthy that just earlier, "Pastinfo" published information stating that Sukiasyan summoned journalist and Turkish studies expert Nayri Hokhikyan, who has been quite actively criticizing the authorities on social media. The meeting was held in a closed format. Sukiasyan allegedly made a proposal-demand to Hokhikyan to cease his sharp criticisms directed at the authorities, especially Nikol Pashinyan.
