Black Ice Found in the Sisian-Zanger Segment of Syunik Province

The Ministry of Emergency Situations informs that there are closed and difficult-to-navigate roadways within the territory of Armenia.

Roads are closed from the Amberd High Mountain Meteorological Station in Aragatsotn Province to the Amberd Fortress and towards Kary Lake, as well as the Berd-Jambarak road.

The Vardenyats Mountain Pass is impassable for passenger vehicles and closed for trucks with trailers due to snowstorms.

In the Sisian-Zanger segment of Syunik Province, black ice is present in some areas. Additionally, there is fog in the city of Kajaran.

Regarding Lars, according to information received from the Emergency Situations Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the Crisis Management Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in North Ossetia, the Stepantsminda-Lars road is closed for heavy trucks. Approximately 428 heavy-duty vehicles are accumulated on the Russian side.

Drivers are advised to travel exclusively with winter tires.
