The Homeland is at Risk, the State on the Verge of Destruction: Tigran Atanesyan

According to lawyer Tigran Atanesyan, elections, even fair and legal ones, will not save us, he wrote on Facebook.

“The lumpen segment is large, and their dull-witted voice is influential. Since the Homeland is at risk and the state is on the verge of destruction, a Founding Assembly should be called. It should consist of six equal segments: clergymen, military personnel, intellectuals, non-marginal extra-parliamentary political figures, citizens, and peasants.

It would be appropriate for the Founding Assembly to adopt a new Constitution, restoring the monarchy, form a Temporary Government for the transitional period, and establish a Tribunal to condemn traitors and denounce Nikolism.

The country should have a bicameral parliament, with the upper chamber appointed by the monarch, the church, and the army, and the lower chamber elected by the population with the strictest electoral qualifications. The existence of another power elected by the lumpen should be excluded if we value the Armenian state,” wrote Tigran Atanesyan.
