Nikol Pashinyan: Levon Ter-Petrosyan is a Good Example of Two Escapes in His Political Career
Levon Ter-Petrosyan suggests organizing a scenario for the Prime Minister to flee the country. Nikol Pashinyan stated today in the Aragatsotn province that Ter-Petrosyan has provided good examples of fleeing twice during his career, while commenting on the first president's suggestion.
“Am I someone who can flee? If my people decide that I should be executed, I will stand humbly against that wall of execution. No one should think that I will flee from any decision made by the people. And you have that right, people. Those who want to flee can think about fleeing,” said Pashinyan.
Pashinyan noted that we must live in this region, but the biggest problem of living here is that we are perceived as enemies, and we also perceive others as enemies. “As long as we perceive ourselves as enemies, we will be understood as enemies. It is even very difficult to find the starting point from which this process began,” Pashinyan added.
It is worth reminding that the first President of Armenia, Levon Ter-Petrosyan, proposed as a solution that Pashinyan receive asylum abroad with security guarantees, after which early parliamentary elections would be held.
