Arsen Avakov Does Not Exclude the West-Russia Conflict Could Evolve into a 'Hot War' in Ukraine
Ukrainian Interior Minister Arsen Avakov has not excluded the possibility of a new 'cold war' igniting between the West and Russia following remarks made by U.S. President Joe Biden regarding Russian President Vladimir Putin.
"This could be the beginning of a 'cold war' between Western civilization and the Russian empire, as Putin sees it," Avakov stated on the air of the 'Ukraine' television channel, as reported by the 'Gordon' publication.
At the same time, Avakov expressed concern that this could escalate into a 'hot war' for Ukraine. He emphasized that Ukraine must be prepared for such a scenario.
Avakov also concurred with Biden, reaffirming the U.S. President's remarks: "Putin is a murderer. We have no questions about this," the minister remarked.
In response to Biden's comments, which had affirmed a reporter's provocative question about whether he considers the Russian leader a 'murderer,' Putin wished health to his American counterpart and invited him to conduct open negotiations in an online format.
