The Next Achievement of the Revolution Must Be Free and Fair Elections on June 20, Avinyan

Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan stated that the agreement reached among political forces to hold snap elections is one of the achievements of the 2018 revolution. He expressed this view on his Facebook page, emphasizing that political powers should rely on the true owner—the people—when addressing the question of power.

“Today, a consensus was finally reached among parliamentary forces to resolve the political crisis through constitutional means, namely through snap elections. I consider this agreement one of the victories of the 2018 revolution because political forces turn to the true owner—the people—to solve the power question. Therefore, the next achievement of the revolution must be the free, fair, and transparent conduct of the elections on June 20, in accordance with democratic principles and spirit,” he stated.

It is noteworthy that earlier, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced that snap parliamentary elections will be held in the Republic of Armenia on June 20.
