More than 20 Individuals Detained Including 'Don Pipon' and 'Businessman Rustam'

According to SHAMSHYAN.com, on March 17, during an operation conducted by the officers of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Vagharshapat Division of the Armavir Regional Administration (headed by Karen Hakobyan), more than 20 individuals were detained, including the well-known figure in Ejmiatsin, 'Don Pipon', and the prominent businessman in Yerevan, 'Businessman Rustam'.

As previously reported by SHAMSHYAN.com, a fight had erupted in Ejmiatsin, during which gunshots were fired. Following the publication by SHAMSHYAN.com, it was revealed that the police of Armavir had carried out extensive operational and investigative work regarding this incident and had identified the participants involved in the altercation.

Police established that on March 14, around 21:00, a conflict took place in front of 1 Nalbandyan Street in Ejmiatsin, involving 40-year-old Karen Ghazaryan, 29-year-old Gurgen Arakelyan, 31-year-old Hayk Ghazaryan, 28-year-old Erik Babakanyan, 26-year-old Arthur Arakelyan, 39-year-old Roman Mirzoyan, and 34-year-old Radik Mirzoyan, among others, who had clashed with 26-year-old Ashot Davtyan, 27-year-old Hovsep Mazmanyan, 27-year-old Arsen Tonoyan, 26-year-old Israel Harutyunyan, 26-year-old Harutyun Harutyunyan, and 32-year-old Arthur Paronyan, as well as other unidentified individuals at that time. The confrontation escalated into a brawl, and gunshots were subsequently fired.

With the leadership of Karen Hakobyan, the head of the Armavir Regional Administration, and Rafael Poghosyan, the head of the Vagharshapat Division, as well as Deputy of Operations of the Vagharshapat Division, Fishyan, substantial operational measures were conducted over a 24-hour period. The scene of the incident was identified, where blood-like traces and four yet unidentified bullet casings were discovered during the examination.

A criminal case was initiated at the Vagharshapat Division’s investigative unit under Part 4 of Article 258 of the Criminal Code of Armenia. Senior investigator Manasyan appointed forensic biological and ballistic examinations. The police were taking necessary measures to identify the other participants of the brawl, as well as to locate the identified individuals.
