I Will Not Leave the Political Trench - Serzh Sargsyan
I will not leave the political trench; I am not someone who abandons the trench. This was stated today, on March 18, by the third President of Armenia and the leader of the Republican Party of Armenia, Serzh Sargsyan, during a speech in front of his supporters outside the courthouse.
He specifically noted, “Over the past three years, we have also faced party losses, but we have also been tempered; our ranks have crystallized, and today we still have a professional and competitive team. We will fight for our national interests and a strong state.”
I will not leave the political trench; I am not someone who abandons the trench. In my past life, I have proven this. I can easily give up a position; I can for the sake of the Armenian people, for the sake of the Armenian nation, relinquish an entire authority, but I will never leave the trench that defends Armenian statehood. You can be sure of this.
The voice of the Republican Party has been resonant and will remain so. Our actions will be clear, calculated, coordinated, purposeful, and honest.”
He also expressed gratitude to those present for their support, stating, “I want to ask that you do not wait until the end of the court session, because each of us, especially in this situation, has many other matters to attend to. I want us all to shout together—long live Armenia,” he said.
