Decision on Early Elections Date to Be Announced Today or Tomorrow, Says Romanos Petrosyan

The government is preparing to move forward with early elections, said Minister of Environment Romanos Petrosyan to reporters after a cabinet meeting.

“Today or tomorrow, I believe the decision regarding the date will be announced,” he stated.

Petrosyan noted that the opposition's street protests did not have significant impact and were not welcomed by the public.

“We only see the resolution of political processes through a strictly constitutional path—via early elections,” the minister added.
