Armenian Official Discusses Fight Against Destruction of Churches and Heritage Sites
Politic.am has reported that the President of Artsakh, Arayik Harutyunyan, has rented a luxurious office for the former head of the National Security Service, Kamo Agajanyan. It is noted that this office is located in one of the luxurious business centers on Zakyan Street in Yerevan, where Harutyunyan meets with people during his stays in the capital. It was also reported that twenty million drams from state funds was allocated just for furnishing the office.
In an interview with ArmDaily.am, the spokesperson for the Artsakh President, Lusine Avanesyan, stated that she would not comment on this information. When asked whether any actions would be taken to prevent the destruction of Armenian churches in the territories occupied by Aliyev's regime, or to counter their presentation as Albanian, considering the destruction of the Green Cross Church in Shushi by the enemy and the presentation of the Armenian church in the village of Dzaghgahrut of Hadrut as Albanian, Avanesyan responded, “That was an expected attitude not only from the Artsakh authorities but from everyone. Within the limits of their capabilities, the Artsakh authorities will certainly raise this issue.”
