We Will Continue Our Fight for Just and Dignified Peace: Ayvazyan to the OSCE Chairperson

Four months after military operations, Azerbaijan continues to violate international humanitarian law and human rights by holding Armenian military captives and civilians in captivity. This statement was made by Armenia’s Foreign Minister Ara Ayvazyan after a meeting with the OSCE Chairperson and Swedish Foreign Minister Ann Linde.

The minister stated that the final political solution to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict is possible only within the framework of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairmanship. “We need a strong co-chairmanship of the Minsk Group that can lead the peace process. We also need a robust and united OSCE as the responsible body for regional security and peace. We value the role of the OSCE presidency,” said the Foreign Minister.

He added that Armenia has consistently conveyed a message of peace, but “peace is not just a beautiful word.” “We will continue our fight for just and dignified peace, closely cooperating with our international partners,” Ayvazyan emphasized.
