VIDEO: Major General Edward Asryan's Address on the Start of the RA Armed Forces Exercises

Today, on March 16, starting from 9 AM, tactical-specialist joint exercises have commenced across all operational directions of the RA Armed Forces. Colonel Samvel Asatryan, head of the Information Division of the Organizational Department of the RA Armed Forces General Staff, has published Major General Edward Asryan's video address on his Facebook page.

In the address, it is stated: “The units and subdivisions participating in the exercises are being brought to various degrees of combat readiness in a regulatory manner and are being deployed to the areas of exercise.”

It has been noted that the command posts of the armed forces’ units and branches have already been deployed, where preparations for tactical exercises, combat shooting phases, and calculations under pressure, as well as training for subdivisions and fire management, are being carried out.

“The goals of the ongoing exercises are to verify the combat readiness of the units and subdivisions, especially their ability to operate in complex situational conditions, to assess the capabilities of the operational management bodies of the armed forces in troop management, and to refine the issues of interaction between the assigned forces and resources,” the address states.

It should be mentioned that around 7,500 servicemen, approximately 200 missile, reactive-artillery, and artillery systems, more than 150 anti-tank systems, about 100 armored vehicles, and over 90 air defense systems are involved in the tactical and tactical-specialist exercises. Additionally, aerial attack means (aviation) will also be engaged to support the tactical operations of the troops.
