Preparations Underway: When Will Pashinyan Resign? A Date is Mentioned – 'Fact'
The current crisis situation has led various expert circles and political forces to discuss the necessity of holding snap elections. The radical opposition believes that while snap elections are necessary, it cannot happen now or ever under Nikol Pashinyan's tenure.
According to 'Fact' newspaper, the authorities are making serious efforts to clarify this issue within their ranks. Notably, there is a significant number of individuals within the Pashinyan team who are opposed to holding snap elections.
Reportedly, in the last two days, Nikol Pashinyan and several prominent members of the ruling 'Civil Contract' party have been holding meetings with both the party's leadership and regional governors, as well as heads of administrative districts in Yerevan, to assess the local rating of the government, particularly Pashinyan himself.
Sources indicate that a specific instruction has been given to be prepared for any eventuality, including elections. This requires collaboration not only with leaders of state institutions and the business world but also with local 'authorities' who are 'specialized' in mobilizing votes.
Furthermore, our sources from the government reported late yesterday that Nikol Pashinyan intends to resign by March 23 (some reports suggest today or tomorrow, depending on whether any extraordinary events occur), with the aim of holding snap elections in May.
