More than 30 vehicles collide in a 2 km section of the Chayni bends

Today, March 16, a major chain-reaction car accident occurred in the Kotayk region. Around 11:50 AM, on the 26th km of the Yerevan-Sevan highway, in a 2 km stretch near the Chayni bends, more than 30 vehicles collided.

According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, who reported from the scene, preliminary information indicates that fortunately, there are no reported injuries as a result of the accidents.

The photojournalist noted that the road was passable, with the cleaning crew conducting road maintenance work. The cause of the accidents was attributed to fog.
