Mayor with 63.5% Performance Should Have Submitted Resignation, Khajakyan

David Khajakyan, a member of the "Lus" faction in the Yerevan City Council, believes that Yerevan Mayor Hayk Marutyan should resign upon seeing the performance indicator regarding expenditures.

"The performance in terms of expenditures is 63.5%. A good managing mayor, who has been in office for 3 years, should resign as soon as he receives the performance reports and sees that the figure is 63.5%. If we look at which parts of the implementation relate to salaries and others, and pull out the numbers, we will see that the actual figure is much lower," Khajakyan stated during a session of the Yerevan City Council.

He noted that the "My Step" coalition has not been successful. "That number signifies failure; the city management is at a standstill," he added.
