Kocharian's Name Was Not on the List Initially: 'Fact'
The newspaper writes: “The International Republican Institute recently published survey data that, to put it mildly, did not inspire confidence in most political forces. According to this survey, the 'My Step' alliance has slightly over 30 percent of the 'vote', while the remaining forces have between 1-3 percent. However, some noteworthy details regarding this survey have come to light.
According to 'Fact' newspaper sources, the thing is that the name of former President Robert Kocharian was not originally included in the survey list, and the published 2 percent are those who, on their own initiative, added Kocharian's surname to the list and noted him. According to our sources, western powers and those serving their interests in Armenia are unsettled by the increasing popularity of the second president, and thus efforts are being made to show low percentages.”
