Erdogan's Bodyguard Commits Suicide

The bodyguard of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has committed suicide, leaving behind a note detailing insults and threats he experienced. The note was discovered at the deceased's home, according to Cumhuriyet.

His body was found by colleagues who went to his house after he failed to report to work and turned off his phone.

“You excel at insulting, threatening, and removing your employees; you humiliate and lie to them. Every man has his dignity, and I could not tolerate these words,” wrote Erdogan's bodyguard Bulut in his note.

He also expressed that he did not want anyone from his leadership to be present at his funeral.

Opposition Republican People's Party MP Murat Bakan has sent an inquiry to Interior Minister Suleyman Soylu to ascertain how many police officers have committed suicide. According to him, in all known cases of police suicides, the officers complained about persecution from the leadership.
