Alaverdi-Bagratashen Highway Open for Two-Way Traffic
On March 16, at 07:20, the Lori Regional Crisis Management Center received information regarding a landslide on the Bagratashen-Alaverdi highway. The road was closed to one-way traffic. An operational team from the Regional Rescue Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations was dispatched to the scene.
It was determined that a landslide (approximately 800 cubic meters) occurred on the 25th kilometer of the Alaverdi-Bagratashen highway, near the Akhtala bridge. Employees of Tumanyan's 'Road Management' have cleared the way, which has now been reopened for two-way traffic.
As of 19:00, the Alaverdi-Bagratashen highway is open for two-way traffic.
