We Aim to Create a Website with the Ministry of Defense to Honor Fallen Heroes
HAIK SARGSYAN, a member of the ‘My Step’ faction in the National Assembly, wrote on his Facebook page: “Dear compatriots, we wish to create a website in collaboration with the Ministry of Defense, aimed at perpetuating the memory of all hero compatriots who fell during the war unleashed on September 27, regardless of their status, military rank, or deeds, as well as establishing a factual basis for the history of the war.
The site will also include information about our heroes who perished during the April 2016 war, the July 2020 (Tavush) combat operations, and other military actions.
We invite specialists to join as volunteers in the working group for the website’s development. Interested individuals can contact us via email at [email protected].
The website will feature a search window with advanced search functionalities in alphabetical order by first name, last name, patronymic, date of birth, place of birth, burial location, and for military personnel, their ranks, unit numbers, awards, and other details.
There will be a section for stories, where accounts from comrades-in-arms about fallen or missing heroes will be shared. The site will also allow users to contribute additional information, enabling them to upload further data/photos. For instance, parents, relatives, or friends can add photos or other clarifying information.
Essentially, the website will allow us to recognize our heroes one by one—reading their biographies, viewing their photos, and watching videos about them. Glory to all our heroic brothers and sisters.”
