Man in Stable Condition After Gyumri Murder Attempt; Woman Discharged

On March 15 in Gyumri, a man has been transferred to the Gyumri Medical Center with bodily injuries following a murder attempt. The surgical operation has been completed, and the woman involved has been discharged. This was reported to NEWS.am by the press service of the Gyumri Medical Center.

"The patient was diagnosed with a stab wound on the left forearm causing significant hemorrhage and vascular damage. He underwent surgery and received necessary medical assistance; the attending physician considers his condition stable. He has been moved to a hospital room and continues to receive inpatient care," the medical center stated.

It should be noted that today, in the yard of one of the buildings on Mush 2 Street in Gyumri, a local 33-year-old man had a dispute over personal issues with his neighbor, his neighbor's cousin, and the neighbor's wife. During the confrontation, he attacked them with a knife, intending to kill. The neighbor succumbed to his injuries on the spot, while his wife, who sustained injuries to her neck, and the cousin, who was injured in his hand, were transported to the Gyumri Medical Center, where their lives were saved due to medical intervention. This information was confirmed by the Information and Public Relations Department of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia.

A criminal case has been initiated by the Shirak regional investigative department of the RA Investigative Committee under part 2, clause 1 of Article 34-104 of the RA Criminal Code (attempted murder). The 33-year-old man has been apprehended and arrested.
