Shooting at 'Hin Tagher' Restaurant in Kotayk Province: Shooter Flees in a 'Yashik'
On March 12, another shooting occurred in Kotayk Province. Around 9:00 PM, the Kotayk police received a report that a conflict had arisen at the 'Hin Tagher' restaurant complex, located at the 10th km of the Yerevan-Sevan highway, during which shots were fired.
According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan from the scene, police and investigators found that at approximately 8:55 PM on the same day, a dispute erupted among customers at the aforementioned restaurant, during which one individual fired sporadic shots from a firearm and then fled the scene.
It was revealed that during the confrontation, 32-year-old Edgar Hunanyan, a resident of Solak village in Kotayk Province, discharged his firearm and subsequently escaped in a Mercedes G 500 vehicle. During the examination of the crime scene, four cartridges and one bullet were found.
As a result of the investigation, Hunanyan was arrested. According to G. Shamshyan's reports, he serves as the head of the Sevan checkpoint at the Gegharkunik Regional Directorate of the Military Police of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia, holding the rank of captain.
