Pashinyan Decides to Close the Country Again Due to Coronavirus from March 15

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has decided to close the country again starting March 15 due to the coronavirus, according to the Mediaport Telegram channel.

Based on the channel's report, Pashinyan instructed the National Security Service on March 9 to prepare the necessary grounds for closing the country again under the pretext of worsening coronavirus conditions and to prohibit gatherings. According to the plan, the country will return to strict restrictions, including online classes and a ban on operations in public places.

After Pashinyan's directive, coronavirus cases have sharply increased, as it has been ordered to provide widespread positive test responses in polyclinics. Numerous instances have emerged where positive results from polyclinic tests have been contradicted by retesting in private clinics.

The same source also highlighted the mortality rates, which are disproportionately low compared to the number of infection cases. For instance, yesterday marked the announcement of over 700 new infections alongside reports of 2 deaths, while today, over 800 new cases were reported with 5 deaths, indicating potential manipulation of the figures for political purposes.

Auroranews contacted the spokesperson for the Prime Minister, Mane Gevorgyan, who refrained from commenting on the news, advising to reach out to the Ministry of Health. The Ministry indicated that such matters are not currently being discussed.
