Now, as Nikol Pashinyan's power is in question, Sasun Mikayelyan remembers that the danger of war exists: Abrahamyan
Statements from the President of Azerbaijan have suddenly begun to worry Sasun Mikayelyan. This is the same Mikayelyan who, prior to the war, dismissed reminders about Azerbaijani threats, asserting that there was no such thing. This was noted by Tigran Abrahamyan, head of the 'Henaket' Center, on Facebook.
“This is the same deputy who considered the 2018 ‘revolution’ a more significant event than the victory recorded in the Artsakh war. In August-September 2020, analyzing the statements and joint actions of Azerbaijan and Turkey, as well as the increase in border activity, I, along with some experts and figures, were warning that we were on the brink of war—neither the government, nor the Yerkrapah Volunteer Union, nor Sasun Mikayelyan responded,” Abrahamyan wrote.
“Now, when Nikol Pashinyan's government is in question, suddenly they remember that there is a danger of war. Moreover, there are still ‘bad dancers’ creating obstacles, for instance, the opposition. The part of Mikayelyan's statement that reads ‘it is necessary to consider the restoration and confirmation of the state's internal stability as a paramount issue, to resist those political forces and individual opportunists whose activities destabilize the situation’ completely reveals the true nature of this statement. The government has set a task to prepare the ground for its longevity by any means and to eliminate those standing in its way from the political arena,” Abrahamyan emphasized.
