Earthquake Recorded in Turkey Felt in Yerevan and Two Villages in Armavir
An earthquake was recorded today near the city of Igdir in Turkey, which was also felt in Armenia. According to the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Armenia, the earthquake struck at 09:57 local time, 34 kilometers southwest of Igdir, at a depth of 10 kilometers, with a magnitude of 3.8. The intensity of the underground tremor in the epicentral zone was reported to be 5 on the Richter scale.
The earthquake was felt in the villages of Vardanashen and Janfida in the Armavir region with an intensity of 2-3, and in the city of Yerevan with an intensity of 2.
It is noteworthy that an earthquake was also recorded in Iran yesterday, with tremors felt in Syunik.
