VAZ 2101 Collides with Electric Pole on Sos-Machkalashen Road, Leaving 2 Dead and 2 Injured
On March 11, around 00:30, a resident of Machkalashen village in the Martuni region of the Republic of Artsakh, born in 1972, was driving his VAZ 2101 vehicle when he collided with a metal electric pole located on the roadside at the 1st kilometer of the Sos-Machkalashen roadway, according to the Artsakh Investigative Committee.
As a result of the accident, the passengers, Arthur Hrachek Melkumyan born in 1988 and Mher Slavik Avanesyan born in 1989, died on the spot from their injuries. The other passenger, Razmik Murad Baghrayan born in 1984, and the driver of the VAZ 2101 were transported to a medical facility with injuries.
The senior investigator from the Artsakh Investigative Committee's second investigative division has been dispatched to the scene. An investigation has been initiated under Article 253, Part 3 of the Artsakh Criminal Code, and it is currently ongoing.
