Turkey Declares F-35 Production Impossible Without Its Involvement

Turkey continues to manufacture components for the American F-35 fighter jets, despite being removed from the project due to its purchase of Russian S-400 air defense systems, Mustafa Varank, the country’s Minister of Industry and Technology, stated in an interview with RIA Novosti.

“Currently, we have been removed from the F-35 project. The most significant components of the F-35 project are being produced by Turkey, with some parts being produced exclusively by us. This means that if these components are not produced in Turkey, then the production of these aircraft becomes fundamentally impossible. However, we certainly do not violate our obligations. The production of those components continues in Turkey,” the minister expressed.

According to him, Turkey expects a rectification of the injustices it has faced regarding the F-35 project and has not ceased its work due to its removal from the project.
