Prime Minister Calls to Adhere to Anti-Epidemic Rules to Avoid Returning to Previous Restrictions

During today’s government session, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan once again addressed the coronavirus situation. He stated that there has been a significant increase in new cases.

Health Minister Anahit Avanesyan reported that 4,285 tests were conducted yesterday, with 748 testing positive. According to the Minister, the number of active cases currently stands at 6,772, with 901 individuals hospitalized.

“At the moment, we have nine medical centers that are treating COVID-19 patients, and we currently have about 100 beds available. We are continuing to expand our capacity during these days,” the Minister said.

Avanesyan emphasized the need to do everything possible to ensure that the number of patients does not exceed our current capacity.

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan responded by stating that we must strictly adhere to anti-epidemic rules. “Our goal must be to move forward in a way that does not require the imposition of restrictions. I urge our people to pay special attention to this issue because each of our individual approaches will be significant in this matter,” the Prime Minister asserted.
