Pothole Repair Works to Begin Under Favorable Weather Conditions: Karapetyan

Pothole repair and asphalt renovation works in Yerevan will begin only when weather conditions allow, said Hakob Karapetyan, the press secretary of the Yerevan municipality, during a conversation with Aysor.am.

“There is a certain temperature for the air; if the temperature drops below this threshold, the asphalt works will be ineffective,” Karapetyan noted. He emphasized that all road construction tenders have been conducted, and annual works will commence under favorable weather conditions.

Regarding the possibility of extending the city’s nighttime lighting hours, Karapetyan stated that it is under the authority delegated by the government to manage Yerevan’s nighttime lighting with funds provided by the government. “Last year, the Yerevan municipality proposed increasing these funds to allow for the extension of nighttime lighting hours,” he added.
