Ministry of Defense's Comment on Minister Vagharshak Harutyunyan's Profile on OK.ru
The newly appointed Minister of Defense Vagharshak Harutyunyan appears to spend his leisure time on the social networking site Odnoklassniki.ru. According to the publication 'Hraparak', sources have informed the news agency that he is registered on this site in Russian, and while his profile is private, his activity, including when he last accessed it, is visible.
To verify this, the news agency logged into the OK.ru site, entered his name, and confirmed that Harutyunyan indeed actively uses this social network. For example, as of now, his last visit was noted to be on the night of March 10, at 11:05 PM. Harutyunyan frequently appears online on 'Odnoklassniki', spending nearly all day on this social platform, which has long surpassed its prime. In Armenia, few people still use Odnoklassniki, but our new Minister of Defense, being 'an old-school person', prefers to utilize this outdated social network which has become a subject of humor in certain aspects, primarily frequented by our 'friends from the village and Russia'. Also, a segment of the youth still uses it, mainly to 'chat up girls'.
Moreover, Vagharshak Harutyunyan, who in this post-war challenging period still has sufficient time to 'mess around' on social networks, is visiting a site where there is particularly little news, suggesting that his visits aren't exactly for information purposes. 'Hraparak' also reported that when relatives of captives and missing persons request meetings with him, Vagharshak Harutyunyan often declines, citing lack of time.
AuroraNews reached out to the Ministry of Defense for a comment regarding the news, but they did not provide any comment.
It remains unclear whether the Minister of Defense indeed has a profile on the OK.ru site or not.
