Lusavar Armenia to Participate in Snap Elections with the Aim of Seizing Power - Samsonyan
We demand snap elections because there is no other option. Snap elections are the red line we must draw to get the country back on the rails of development. This was stated by Ani Samsonyan, a deputy of the "Lusavar Armenia" parliamentary faction, during a conversation with reporters in parliament.
"If I know that I will not be a deputy in the next parliament, it doesn't matter to me; the most important thing is to get the country out of this situation. As a deputy, it is unpleasant to work in a country that is convulsing like a sick person. There has been no discussion about what percentage of votes we will receive by participating in the elections. Perhaps this is considered in the government's calculations that they cannot gather a majority, but in our calculations, there is no such thing," said the deputy.
According to Ani Samsonyan, the government projects its fears onto opposition factions and political forces: "The fear that the Prime Minister may resign and that he could accidentally choose another person as prime minister with his majority, that fear the government cannot overcome," said Ani Samsonyan.
The deputy emphasized that if there are early parliamentary elections, "Lusavar Armenia" will participate with the goal of seizing power.
