It is Very Likely that the Armenian Government Will Impose New Restrictions Soon, a 'Lockdown'
Auroranews has reported that it is highly likely that the Armenian government will impose new restrictions in the coming days, including a potential 'lockdown'. According to our sources, the necessity to announce new restrictions due to the coronavirus is currently under discussion.
As a reminder, on March 11, at 11:00 am, 748 new cases of coronavirus infection were recorded in Armenia. Despite the rise in coronavirus cases, public opinion suggests that these figures are mostly 'fabricated'. Meanwhile, health officials continue to assure that the situation is very serious.
Romella Abovyan, head of the Epidemiology Department of the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention of the Ministry of Health, believes that if there are again more than 700 reported cases in the coming days, it is certainly possible that the government will resort to new restrictions.
