Earthquake in Iran Felt in Syunik Province

On March 11, at 09:46 local time (05:46 GMT), the Seismic Protection Territorial Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia registered an earthquake with a magnitude of 4.3. The epicenter was located 14 km northeast of Khoy, Iran, at geographical coordinates of 38.56° N latitude and 45.11° E longitude, at a depth of 10 km. The intensity of the earthquake in the epicentral area was measured between 5-6 points.

The epicenter was located 95 km from the state border of Armenia. The earthquake was felt in several cities in Syunik Province, including Agarak, Meghri, Kajaran, Kapan, Goris, and Sisian, with an intensity of 2-3 points.
