Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry Provides Details on Maral Najaryan's Release

Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry has presented some details regarding the release of Maral Najaryan. The Ministry's spokesperson, Leyla Abdullayeva, stated that Najaryan was released on March 10.

"We would like to note that Najaryan chose to return not to Armenia, but to Lebanon. It is important to mention that discussions with the Russian side did not result in Najaryan being sent through Russian territory, as she is a citizen of Lebanon. Therefore, Najaryan was sent to Lebanon via Turkey. We would also like to emphasize that currently, there are no women of Armenian descent held in Azerbaijan," she assured, according to local media.

Let us remind you that Maral was captured on November 10 in Berdzor, where she had gone to collect her personal belongings. It is noteworthy that Maral Najaryan holds citizenship in both Lebanon and Armenia.
