The Administrative Court Accepts Tigran Khachatryan's Application: What Does It Mean?
General-Lieutenant Tigran Khachatryan's application has been accepted by the Administrative Court. This information was announced by the law firm TK & Partners, which has taken on the defense of Khachatryan's interests.
"The Administrative Court today has accepted our application and scheduled a preliminary hearing for April 29 at 11 AM. We also inform that according to Article 83 of the Administrative Procedure Code, the acceptance of the application by the court suspends the execution of the contested administrative act (the decree of the President of the Republic of Armenia) until the court ruling that resolves the case enters into legal force," the firm states in its announcement.
Meanwhile, the law firm also notes that they are convinced that the high-ranking officer of the Armenian army was dismissed from his position with numerous and gross violations of the Constitution and laws.
It is recalled that on February 24, 2021, President of Armenia Armen Sarkissian signed a decree to dismiss the Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces Tigran Khachatryan based on the Prime Minister's proposal.
Tigran Khachatryan has applied to the Administrative Court of Armenia demanding the invalidation of the President's decree on his dismissal.
