Sharp Twist: The Decision to Exploit Amulsar Has Been Made

The newspaper "Zhoghovurd" has received information from various circles that the permit for the exploitation of the Amulsar mine will soon be definitively approved. Furthermore, according to reports, even employees of the Sotk gold mine in the Gegharkunik region have been verbally promised by GeoProMining that Amulsar will be exploited in the near future, and those who have been dismissed can be employed there.

The Minister of Environment of Armenia, Romanos Petrosyan, did not respond to calls from "Zhoghovurd" newspaper to clarify how real the exploitation of Amulsar is. His press secretary, Edgar Arakelyan, relayed that the minister recently stated that he has requested time to discuss the issue in more detail with expert circles in order to respond to it effectively.
