Putin and Erdogan to Meet After a Long Time

Russian President Vladimir Putin has agreed to meet personally with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, noting that they have not seen each other for a long time, and that "this should happen in the near future". This was reported by the RIA Novosti agency.

"Turkey intends to continue cooperation with the Russian Federation on regional issues such as Syria, Libya, and Nagorno-Karabakh. I hope we can meet in person soon," Erdogan said via video link during the launch of construction works for the 3rd energy unit of the Akkuyu nuclear power plant.

"We agreed. We haven’t seen each other for a long time. We should do this in the near future," Putin responded.
