Government Decides to Abolish the Position of Chief Architect of Yerevan

The government has decided to abolish the position of the Chief Architect of Yerevan. Yesterday, the government presented a draft amendment to the law on "Local Self-Government in Yerevan" to the National Assembly.

According to Article 48.1 of this law, the Chief Architect of Yerevan is appointed and dismissed by the Mayor. The same draft proposes to add another position for the Deputy Mayor that will carry out these functions.
