Gorgisyan: Former Officials' Self-Expression in the Current Tragicomedy is Especially Interesting

“Today, those opposing the snap elections can be divided into two groups: This is what Gevorg Gorgisyan, the secretary of the parliamentary faction of 'Enlightened Armenia,' wrote on his Facebook page.

He specifically noted:
“1. Nikolahaphtakner (loyalists), who are doing everything to ensure that Pashinyan and his team continue to hold power until 2023, and strengthen them with their actions every day.
2. Bloodthirsty hypocrites, who want to remain in the political arena at the cost of leading the country into instability, clashes, and fratricidal bloodshed.”

“Every political force will determine which of these groups it aligns itself with, but let them be honest with the citizens of the Republic of Armenia because our country no longer has enough resources for hypocrites to replace the liars.”

“In this created tragicomedy, the self-presentation of former officials is particularly interesting: the methods and vocabulary that they called terrorist and anti-state two years ago have now become their signature.”

“The tragedy becomes complete when the aforementioned individuals attempt to package their ulterior motives in noble ideas (we had one who headlined his leap from the LHK for the mandate as ‘I cannot go against the will of the people’). I believe this is called a lack of principles.”

“All of this would be laughable if reality were not so sad.”
