Two Tents to Be Set Up Near Parliament Entrance on Demirchyan Street
During clashes between citizens and police on Demirchyan Street, Ishkhan Saghatelyan, coordinator of the "Homeland Salvation Movement," stated, "Police, you are creating artificial confrontations." He announced that two tents will be set up near the entrance.
Citizens have blocked the entrance to the parliament from Demirchyan Street. Clashes erupted during a march toward Demirchyan Street, and although some of the protesters were detained by police, citizens insisted they did not wish to storm the parliament and urged to avoid provocations and not incite clashes.
"We have closed Baghramyan Avenue for ten days to express our protest. The president is locked away in that building, I don't know what he is occupied with, and the deputies are in this building. This street must remain closed because this parliament has nothing left to do," they emphasized.
Citizens chanted, "Armenia without Nikol," "Armenia without Turkey."
